Anne-Laure Descours is a French sourcing, supply chain, and sustainability executive with more than 35 years of experience spanning Europe and Asia, and nearly three decades based in Hong Kong. She built her career in buying and sourcing leadership roles in France and Asia, including as Senior Vice President at Li & Fung, before taking on global sourcing leadership in the fashion industry.

In 2012, she joined PUMA, rising to Chief Sourcing Officer and Management Board Member in 2019, a role she held until the end of 2024. In this position, she led global sourcing, product development, and the group's sustainability agenda, driving initiatives that embedded circularity, recycled materials, and traceability into everyday sourcing decisions. She was the architect behind PUMA's RE:FIBRE program, advancing textile-to-textile recycling and closed-loop material innovation, and she championed supplier collaboration models that balanced resilience, cost, and environmental accountability across a complex, multi-tier Asia-Pacific manufacturing base.

Since stepping back from her executive role, Anne-Laure has continued to shape the industry's sustainability agenda as a board member of Gildan Activewear and Haelixa, a Swiss pioneer in DNA-based traceability solutions, and as a sought-after advisor and speaker on responsible sourcing and circular economy strategy.

Anne-Laure is a strong voice for bringing suppliers and brands together around a shared vision, convinced that lasting progress on sustainable materials, green manufacturing, and recycling depends on collaboration rather than pressure passed down the chain. She speaks candidly about what it takes to align incentives across the value chain, and consistently places dialogue between manufacturers, brands, and retailers at the center of how the fashion ecosystem can move forward together.
